Abstract: John Butler (1918-1993) was a dancer and choreographer who combined both classical and modern dance styles in his work. After a brief period leading his own dance company, Butler became a successful freelance choreographer on television and for dance companies around the world. The John Butler Papers consist of correspondence, programs, clippings, photographs, scrapbooks and other professional records.
