(1860-1913), Polish tenor from Lubaczow, made
his Metropolitan Opera debut in the title role of his compatriot Ignacy Jan
Paderewski's opera Manru on February 14, 1902, and
sang in all the Met performances of that work in New York and on tour. During
his only Met season, he also sang Lohengrin and Siegfried in Götterdämmerung. Contracted to sing twenty performances at
$500 each. Bandrowski sang only thirteen, but he was also paid for the
seven performances he did not sing.
